Popeye Pug Treats

My dad is tremendaddyous. Lately he's been making me yummy homemade dog treats. Today's delectable concoction - Popeye Pug Treats. Delish!

These newest treats contain daddy's home-ground oat and rice flours just like the others. And he even let me lick the bowl! He's the bestest daddy ever!

Snicker-Poodle-Poos & Apple Pie Treats

Hello, Coco here. My daddy is amazing! And by amazing, I mean ah-maze-ing! He's started making me homemade organic treats. Yippee!

His first batch was of Snicker-Poodle-Poos, a delicious doggie version of snickerdoodles. But be forewarned, though these smell amazing, they taste to humans a bit too much like rice and not like a cookie. For us dog on the other hand, they are fantastic! One of my fellow canines has decided he doesn't like his other treats anymore. And another has started doing new tricks for these treats.

His second batch was of Apple Pies. Don't worry, these don't actually come in pie format; they're just like a little cookie. But they are ever so delicious, and I obey quite well when one of these is offered.

To make these treats in a cost-effective way, daddy's grinding his own oat and rice flours. What a guy!

One More Day

In approximately one day, 3 hours and 20 minutes, we will be starting our appointment!! Can't believe it's already almost here!

On another note, Kit made Coco some homemade dog treats called Snicker-Poodle-Poos on Tuesday night. Coco will have to tell you all about them later; he's slightly obsessed.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! I know I'm a little late on everything these days. Unfortunately, I've been a little busy helping grandpa with our bathroom remodel (I keep an eye on our library and take naps while he works on the bathroom).

That said, over the week of Thanksgiving, I got to see my kid cousin, Boston, almost every day. (I just used lots of commas. Oh well.) She's pretty fun, and she feeds me good stuff. Here's the documentation of our adventures.

In this video, Boston demonstrates her skills at saying, "This," and her determination to get on the couch.

Adieu, My Friend

Well, Max is gone now. We had a pretty fun time. But I must say I am glad to have mommy and daddy all to myself again. Max kept trying to take my spot on their laps. So I would casually slide up in between him and mommy/daddy, sneak into prime lap position and then stick my face in his face, giving him "the look." It proved to be effective. Though mommy and daddy would always tell me, "No," and make sure to give Max a good spot as well. Sheesh! Don't they know who I am? I'm the pug of the house!

Oh well, it's over now. And Max was a lot of fun. We went on a walk, wrestled, ate, slept and pretty much had a good time. I seem to have over-exerted myself though so I'm limping a bit on one of my back legs. Mom's taking me to the vet next week to get it checked out. At least my vet is cool, and mommy gives me lots of treats when I'm there. Bonus!

As you can see, I obtained prime real estate. :)

And kept an eye on Max to make sure he didn't try to take my spot.

Good yawns were had by all.

Daddy's kind of cheesy, I know.

I sort of look like an alien in this picture. Weird.

Best Buds

Well, today I've officially started hosting my first ever sleepover. Yippee! My friend, Max, a pug-a-poo, is here staying with me while his parents, Tre and Kelly, are on a much needed final fling before summer is over.

We're having a blast. When he first got over, we ran around and around - jumping on each other, batting at each other, playing with toys together and the like. It was a blast! After his parents left, we ran around some more and then settled down for a nap. I don't think Max is too sure about eating here, but he got the hang of it when daddy put his food on his bed (which he brought with him). We went potty outside, though I think we're on slightly different schedules so I'm hoping Max will do his number two outside later...I'm not sure I'm willing to share enough of my house to have him poop inside. But hey, what are friends for?

Max knows more tricks than I do so I'm hoping to learn a few of his moves before he leaves. I hear the ladies love tricks. Mommy and daddy have been giving out more jerky treats than usual so I'm pretty stoked about that. Here's a photo of Max and I sitting for said treats.

Not sure what I'm looking at...maybe the huge bowl of treats on the table in comparison to the small treat in mom's hand.

More later.
