A Quote

My dear friend Melissa sent me this quote today that she received from a friend. Not sure who wrote it, but it came to me in a great time of need.

“There is nothing—absolutely no circumstance, no trouble, no testing that can ever touch me until, first of all, it has gone past God and past Christ right through to me. If it has come that far, it has come with a great purpose which I may not understand at the moment. But as I refuse to become panicky, as I lift up my eyes to Him, and I accept it as coming from the throne of God for some great purpose of blessing to my own heart, no sorrow will ever disturb me, no trial will ever disarm me, no circumstance will cause me to fret, and I shall rest in the joy of what my Lord is. That is the rest of victory.”

Okay, so this is an absolutely amazing quote. It touched me deeply...exactly where Jesus knew I needed to be touched. I'm so glad the Truth is continuing to meet all of your needs (as He promises!).

That is a great quote. I love the imagery of whatever trial we are facing first passing through God, Christ and then to us. It is true -that he gives us nothing we can't handle and he's tasted the bitterness first. I love your first family photo! It's beautiful to see the joy on your face and the midst of everything going on.

What an awesome quote - it made my day! I will print it off and post it on my fridge and mirror to remind me how God is in control of every aspect of my life. Nothing touches my life without first sifting through the hands of God first. Thanks for sharing.
